Your dreams are achieved and supported here!

We see promise in all Gies Business students, and we’re committed to rewarding and nurturing that promise through merit-based and need-based scholarship support. It’s one more way that we help you achieve your dreams and find your path to purpose.

New Students

Applicants to Gies Business (first-year and transfer students) are all evaluated for scholarships based on their application for admission. We also recommend that all eligible students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There are no additional forms or applications that need to be submitted. All scholarship notifications will be available to admitted first-year students by mid-April, indicating their scholarship offer and specifying whether the offer is a one-time or a reoccurring 4-year scholarship. Transfer students will be evaluated on a rolling basis after they receive their offer of admission.

Gies Business does not offer scholarship matches to other institutions.

Continuing Students

Students continuing at Gies Business are also eligible for scholarships. For evaluation, we encourage continuing students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and to upload their most current resume into Handshake. All scholarship notifications for continuing students are available by the end of July.

If you have questions or would like guidance on where to apply for external scholarship funding, contact scholarships@business.illinois.edu

The Office of Student Financial Aid has other scholarship and financial aid information.
