Our faculty-led research centers and initiatives  span many disciplines and subject areas, including developing innovative healthcare solutions using artificial intelligence, taking a deeper dive into emerging market trends around in-demand topics like corporate purpose, strategy, and data-driven solutions, and contributing to large-scale initiatives like the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Center for Business and Public Policy

The Center promotes rigorous research about how market forces and public policy shape one another and communicates these findings in the classroom and through public engagement activities. Faculty research analyzes programs and policies to advance discussion around regulatory framework, the tax system, and government spending.

The Center develops leading-edge business analytics curriculum and resources to provide students with the data knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to become the most highly-trained business leaders of tomorrow. Faculty and fellows within the Center generate course material, case studies, and more business schools around the country can incorporate into their existing curriculum.

The Initiative for Qualitative Research in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (INQUIRE)

INQUIRE supports research that draws upon interviews, observations, and archival data to understand the complex social processes underlying the creation, development and growth of novel ideas, innovative business models, and new organizations. INQUIRE provides a hub for the qualitative research community within Gies and a point of connection with qualitative researchers across campus and beyond.

The Office of Risk Management and Insurance Research (ORMIR) was established to design research on critical issues facing the industry and engage students seeking careers in risk management and insurance.
